Marci Powell
Marci Powell is a professional speaker, trainer and consultant focusing on the integration of technologies. With an extensive background in instructional technology and over a seventeen years of experience from the classroom to administration, Marci provides expertise in integration, funding, and program development. While serving as Technical Coordinator for Allen ISD north of Dallas, Marci was named 1998 Texas Computer Education Association’s Technology Support Person of the Year.
Marci currently serves as Executive Vice President/ President-Elect with the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) is past president of Texas Distance Learning Association (TxDLA). She also serves on various boards of directors including Communities in Schools, Northside Education Foundation and Alamo Tech Prep Consortium that support education. Marci joined the AT&T Education team in 2003.
Her seminars and workshops deal with such topics as successful integration of technologies, interactive and engaging videoconferencing, distance learning course development, instructional design and delivery, training at a distance, grants and funding. Marci works closely AT&T Education account managers in South Texas, San Antonio and El Paso areas to identify opportunities, assist customers with technology choices, and provide value-add services such as customized workshops and presentations.
