21st Century Literacies Lesson Review Team

Steven Conley teaches English Language Development, grades 9-12, for Compton Unified School District. Steve participated in the Model Secondary Schools Project, whose goal is to create smaller schools in urban school districts which are more responsive to students' educational needs.

Phyllis Hayashibara teaches Advanced Placement U. S. History, Sheltered World History (to English Language Learners), and Humanitas U. S. History (an inter-disciplinary, thematic, writing-based approach) at Venice High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. She also serves as the school's Humanitas Coordinator and Social Studies Department chair.

Ann Tolliver Sterling is a 2nd grade teacher of English Language Learners, Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Ann is a lead teacher in the K-12 Alliance, a Bernstein Model Teacher and a member of the Technology Cadre in LAUSD's District J.

Pam Todd is the sole Library Media Teacher for a population of 3,000 students at Venice High School in the Los Angeles Unified School District. Pam is currently the President of the Los Angeles School Library Association.
