CREATE: Hotlists, Treasure Hunts, Activities

[HOME | CREATE | EDIT | TRAIN | GOOD READS ]

Note: This site began in 1995 as part of the former Pacific Bell Education First Initiative. It remains online as an archived model. No support - including link checking - is provided.

At some point, you may find it useful to create your own hotlists instead of amassing gigantic bookmark files. Or maybe you will want to push the envelope a little further and create your own web-based treasure hunt or activity. Filamentality was created with you in mind. Filamentality does not require any kind of programming or HTML (HyperText Markup Language) knowledge. You merely type your information into the spaces provided, press a button and a web page is generated for you. Filamentality is an interactive Web site that guides you through:

  1. Picking a Topic
  2. Searching and Collecting Good Internet Sites
  3. Spinning Your Page
If you are not sure of what we mean by Hotlists, Treasure Hunts, or Activities, take a look at these examples. If you would like to learn more about the instructional strategies behind creating good web based products, please hike over to Defining Web Activities. If you are ready to begin creating your own web-based learning page, go to Filamentality!

Note: These links will take you far from Camp GetchaontheWeb. Remember to write down the URL to come back later or use the dropdown menu under "Go" on the Menu Bar to come back when you are finished.
