Perhaps you are thinking about creating a homepage. There are several reasons why you might want one. Most browsers, including Netscape and Internet Explorer, automatically open up to the homepage. If you are an institution such as a school or library, you might want to customize that page so that users are provided with immediate access to information or whatever you decide is important to your users. In addition, if users get lost or frustrated, they can press the "Home" button and return to exactly where you want them to be (the school or library homepage).

A personal homepage can be a great way to provide professional information about yourself and to make the projects you are working on public. You can provide links to others that are working on similar projects or to other sites that you think are important. A personal homepage can also serve as a professional resume that can be easily changed and printed whenever you desire.

So what kinds of homepages can you make here?

None of these "homepage makers" require any kind of knowledge of programming or HTML (HyperText Markup Language). You merely type your information into the form and at the end a web page is generated for you. Check it out!

Note: These links will take you far from Camp GetchaontheWeb. Remember to write down the URL to come back later or use the dropdown menu under "Go" on the Menu Bar to come back when you are finished.
