Surf's up! Grab your brain and head for the further reaches of cyberspace. There's a lot to learn in this information age. Using the Web allows you to discover tons more than you may have ever known possible. Below is a list of projects about ancient Greece. Surf the Internet links on this page to find answers to the questions. Have fun!


Questions
  1. How would you have behaved if you had lived in ancient Greece? Read about your city state and make a collage or poster about your city. (25 pts.)



  2. Investigate an aspect of Greek life that interest you--women's life, warfare, and more. Make a Venn diagram comparing it to today in the USA. (25 pts.)



  3. In this web game you can choose to be either Odysseus Himself or his son Telemachus or his beautiful wife, Penelope. Who do you want to be? Play the game and write a paragraph about your adventures. (25 pts.) For an extra 25 pts. tell how you would improve the game.



  4. Have fun exploring this site about Greece. You will probably find great info for your project!



  5. Become a Greek hero. How will you solve a modern problem? See this cool list of things to do! Write a 3 paragraph problem solution essay. (75 pts.) Illustrate it for an extra 25 pts.



  6. Have you learned a lot about Ancient Greece? Ready to become Oprah Winfrey or David Letterman and have your own talk show? Follow the steps and create your own show. See your teacher for the camera. Present the video to the class. You may work as a team/city state. (200 pts--may be divided by your team.)



  7. This site contains dozens of pictures of Greek architecture. Choose one and copy it using clay (50 pts) or pencil/paper (25 pts).



  8. Why not think up your own project from this HUGE list of sites to visit? Have fun! See teacher when you have a project idea--then decide on the number of points together.



  9. Make a Venn diagram comparing and contrasting this year's winter games with the ancient games. (25 pts) Or write a compare/contrast 5-paragraph essay about the Olympics.
