Introduction

Here is a list of questions about Christmas Present and Christmas Past. Surf the Internet links at the bottom of this page to find answers to the questions. (Don't forget to cash in on your Christmas treats!)

Mrs. Davis, the library helpers and I wish all of you a very Merry Christmas. Keep the spirit of Christmas strong in your hearts. We will see you in January.

Questions

  1. What is Santa Claus called in Chile? Give Mrs. Edmunds the correct answer and where you found it to get a Hershey’s Kiss!

  2. Under the heading, Like a Bowl Full of Jelly and the subheading Interview , can you find out why the reindeer complained about delivering presents to the Moon? You’ll receive a chocolate medallion with this correct answer.

  3. Click on each present to discover what the children in Norway put on their Christmas Tree. This answer is good for a Lifesaver.

  4. Why did the candy maker want to make a special candy at Christmas time? What do you think you might receive with this answer? That’s right; a candy cane!

  5. Look in Santa’s Library. When did Bobby start writing his letter to Santa?

  6. Did you ever think of Math and Christmas together? Neither did I, but this is fun!
Solve the problem and get a Hershey‘s Kiss!

  7. This is a good site for our South Americans here at Chestnut Oaks. Read about Christmas traditions in Mexico (in English or Spanish). When do the Pasadas begin and end? Tell Mrs. Edmunds and get a tangerine.

  8. What does the legend say Three French Hens represent in the song, The 12 Days of Christmas? Read this site in English, Spanish, Korean, and Russian!

  9. Compare this site to the one above. Which do you like better? Why?

  10. What was the true cost of the gifts in this song in 2002? Was it cheaper to buy in the stores or on the Internet? See Mrs. Edmunds for a chocolate gold coin.

  11. Can you name all twelve of Santa’s reindeer? Chocolate candy comes with this right answer!

  12. See Twelve Days of Christmas artwork from students in Bristol, England. Get the art box, draw your own and have it featured on Channel 4 News.

  13. Could this happen in your house? No question and nothing to do. This is just funny!

  14. Go here and explore all you want. There is no question to answer for this one, either. Have fun!
