Introduction

The Roman Empire is still with us today. Not so much as a political entity but its thoughts, ideas, and very soul permeate our culture. Rome contributed to our literature, architecture, law, philiosphy, and government. Even though the Roman Empire fell, it still influences us today. Write an essay identifying the contributions of the Romans to our society. Choose the areas of greatest interest to you (literature, art, architecture, philosophy, government (including law and civil planning). Write a five paragraph essay proving the greatness of the impact of Rome on modern society in the United States.
