The Internet Resources

California history - This site gives you a timeline of California history that, of course, includes the people involved in our history. Click on the first Californians icon and 1600 European Exploration icon for most of the explorers on your teacher's list. Use the sidebar on the left to explore for further information.
Encyclopedia from e-library - Type in the last name, then the first name of your explorer on the search line to get the quickest results. Note: not all people on your teacher's list can be found. Be patient. This is a free encyclopedia service.
Multiple encyclopedias online - Using the top toolbar 'search', choose Bartleby.com from the drop-down menu. Then type in the last name, then the first name of your explorer. Note: as above, not all people can be found. Another free online encyclopedia service.
