Cats in the Wild

Big Cats On Line - This is an interactive site where students can indeprendently explore different cat categories such as evolution, species, and in the wild. This site also provides a Cat Fact of the Week for students to learn unique facts on cats.
National Geographic Kids: Cats-Plans for Perfection - This is another National Geographic site focused on the cat species. This site gives in depth information on the physical and tempermental characteristics of the cat. This site provides excellent visual aides pertaining to various physical structures of the cat.

Pet Cats

Cat Fancier's Association for Kids - This site provides a unique and more casual perspective on cats. Students can interactively explore this site while learning about different cat breeds and cat shows. This site also contains cat games and other links targeted to children.
National Geographic Domestic Cat; felis catus - A breif introduction about the domestic cat. Scientific names and physical measurments included. Basic behavioral and historical characteristics summarized. This site offers a brief and educational summary on cats.

Cat photos and Activities

BigCats.com - This site centers around all cat species, big and small. This site provides ample information ranging from cat species identification to cat study guids. This site would appeal to students because it presents information in an entertaining and interactive manner.
Great Cats- Smithsonian National Zoological Park - This is an excellent site for students to view photos of cats. This site also provides several links including a Cat Diary and Cat Conservation Network.
