Introduction

Long ago, the state of Missouri was very different from the way it is today. Scientists believe that the first people arrived in North America from Asia through a land bridge now known as the Bering Straits. Many different cultures developed in North America, but the first people in Missouri were primarily migratory. They followed the buffalo herds and became known as the Plains Indians. All Native Americans were affected by the natural resources that were available to them. These resources were used for providing the necessities needed for survival. You will work in groups to create a Power Point Presentation on each of these Native America Groups; The Mound Builders, The Osage, The Sac, The Fox, and the Lakota Sioux.
You will:
1. Create a graphic organizer in Inspration 6.
2. Focus on the the following information:
location, shelter, diet, clothing, arts and crafts
3. You will find out as much as you can about your
groups culture.
4. Keep track of the sites that you visit and the
images you save in a word document.
5. Make a report on paper about your Native American
Group.
6. Research and create an artifact for your group.
7. Make a five slide Power Point Presentation to share.
