General Resources

Durling's Electronic Catalog - Provides access to the materials available in Durling's Library.
Learning Express Library - Test preparation materials and practice tests for many areas including math, reading, writing, grammar and more. Home use requires a password. See the library staff.
Lorain Public Library - Access to the Public Library Catalog and their electronic databases.
NoodleTools - NoodleTools is a suite of interactive tools designed to aid students and professionals with their online research. From selecting a search engine and finding some relevant sources, to citing those sources in MLA or APA style. Including creating a bibliography. Password required. See the library staff.

Bartleby's - Poetry & quotations.
Dictionary & Thesaurus from World Book - Home use requires password. See the Library Staff.
Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos - Encyclopedia in the Spanish language. Home use requires a password, see the Library Staff.
Gale Virtual Resource Center - Includes reference resources: for Biographies, the Constitution, Vietnam, American History, Endangered Animals, Chemistry, Literature, Health, Religions and Crime & Justice. See the library for a complete list. Home use requires a password. See the library staff.

Cleveland Plain Dealer - (Does not work properly on the old Macs.)
Ebsco - Magazine database. See the list of passwords posted on the computers or ask the library staff for a list of passwords for home use.

Ask Jeeves - Allows use of natural language to phrase questions.

Infohio Database Search - Searches all or selected resources from Infohio including: World Book Ency., Science Online, Biography Reference Bank, Magazines, Newspapers and more. At the Core Collection page select the K-12 Info Search Button. Home use of databases will require a password. Please see the library staff.
Yahoo - Good general search engine.
Yahooligans - Designed specifically to assist students find curriculum related materials.
