The Internet Resources

Elizabethan Life
- Some brief descriptions of Elizabethan life. Also, some easy-to-read background on Shakespeare and the Elizabethan theatre.
Shakepeare and The Globe
- A great resource for information about both The Globe of Shakespeare's time, but of the recent reconstruction of the theatre.
The Elizabethan Theatre
- '... this site contains the text of a lecture by Professor Hilda D. Spear (University of Dundee) held at Cologne University in October 1989.' A terrific resource with lots of color slides of Elizabethan acting venues, and information about performances during Shakespeare's day.
