Custom Typing - An online typing tutorial that requires membership, but has some free tutorial resources and information...very comprehensive
Kent's Typing Test and Typing Teacher - This site gives you free typing tests AND fourteen (14) free typing lessons.
Kid's Domain: Typing Tutors - A fair list of typing sites which includes web-based, free, and downloads.
Krazy Keyboarding for Kids - Sixteen (16) online, interactive lessons with reviews
Learn2Type - Learn 2 Type is the leading FREE Web site that helps you master the skills of touch-typing. Whether you're a typing expert or just a 'hunt & peck' beginner, the interactive exercises you'll find here automatically adjust to your skill level. Once you create your free account, you're off and running!
Nail it Now: Typing Tutor - A nifty site where you can practice, then, if you still need the software you can negotiate the download.
Self-Taught Typing - Fifteen (15) online typing lessons and an extra five (5) lessons for numbers
Typing Master - Try the free demo to check out the product.
Typing Pal - Typing Pal Online offers a free basic typing course for all. This site includes exercises, practice, statistics, and tips on ergonomics. Typists will need to login to keep records, and you can choose to download different versions.
Typing Tutor - This program helps you improving your typing skills by playing a simple game: characters are falling down the screen; you have to stop them before they reach the ground by pressing the corresponding key on the keyboard. There is a 'lesson plan' window where you can change the keys to work on.

What's Up With Computers

Getting to Know Your Computer - A cute lesson to reinforce student knowledge of the computer and its functions. This includes picture prinouts of the computer and its parts for identification.
Keyboarding Lesson Links - A lesson plan site for teaching keyboarding and various applications...reinforcements of learning the keypads.

Ergonomics

Computers Can be a Pain in the Neck - A site that discusses the ergonomic issue for students/workers using computers.
Cornell Research on Computer Ergonomics - This site is the press release for ergonomic research through Cornell University. Click on the link within the release for more informative sites regarding this research.

Internet Safety

CyberNetiquette - A Disney site to assist younsters in the rules for Internet-iquette.
GetNetWise - The Internet provides a great resource for education, research, skill reinforcement, etc., but there is alot out in cyberspace that isn't so good. This site is available to educate parents and kids about Internet safety and who to go to when something comes up that isn't appropriate or has dangerous overtones.
Internet Safety Tips - Tips for providing rules to assist student Internet safety.
NetSafe - An Internet safety group created this site with lots of printable handouts to teach Internet safety.
Surftificate - A printable certificate for kids to read, sign, and take responsibility while on the Internet. You can edit this for school AUP additions.
Wired Patrol - A place where you'll find tips, advice and suggestions to make your family's online experience fun and productive!
