'This is Not a Hoax' - Article on urban legends from Scientific American
BreakTheChain.org - Website committed to stopping junk chain emails. Does not deal with spam, 'inspirationals,' or 'good luck chains.' Invites submissions from readers.
Hoax-Slayer.com - Website started by Australian Brett Christensen to combat spam, thwart internet scammers and debunk email hoaxes. Includes a news blog and forums.
HoaxKill - Includes information on viruses and chain letters, as well as urban legends.
Snopes.com - A good check-here-first site. San Fernando Valley Folklore Society. Categories include Disney, Business, Christmas, Movies and Toxin du Jour.
TruthOrFiction.com - Founded by Southern Californian Rich Buhler. Lists rumors by title or headline, gives summary of each, followed by the 'truth,' and a sample of the actual email or article which has been circulating. Offers a subscription service for updates.
Urban Legends and Folklore - Good all-purpose site from About.com. Many links.
