Introduction

The following hotlist provides internet sites that will allow your fourth grade students to research Wisconsin's 72 counties. Each site you enter will give you necessary information to complete the County Fair Project. This is only a sampling of what the internet has to offer. Feel free to go on other Wisconsn sites that will help you with your research!!!! Let me know if you find some good ones, and I will add them to the list.

Wisconsin Counties - Look here to find information on your county. Scroll down to the 'Choose a county to explore' box. Then hit 'Go' when you find your county. Explore this webpage and be sure to click on the website link at the bottom of the page. It will take you much further to discover more information
Wisconsin Census Report for 1999 - This webpage will give you information on each WI county. All you have to do is select your county in the upper left-hand corner of the page, hit 'go' and you have list of information regarding population for your county. Click on County Selection Map, and you will have a map of Wisconsin showing where your county is in relation to the other 71 counties in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Industries - Learn about some of Wisconsin's important industries
Famous Wisconsinites - Read about five of Wisconsins most famous people.
Early Explorers - Learn more about Wisconsin's early explorers
Discover Wisconsin - This website will take you all over Wisconin. You will learn valuable facts and find useful materials.
Wisconsin Cities - This website will teach you the history of Wisconsin as well as current information. There are links on this site to take you to other Wisconsin sites.
Virtual Tour Through Your County - Enter into this site and view amazing pictures from your county. These pictures can be copied and pasted into a word document to be printed out by you and used on your display. Be patient for the picutes; they may take a while to download.
Wisconsin Chambers of Commerce - Head to this website where you can find your county and find valuable information from the Chamber of commerce. Many other links to follow.
Wisconsin County Links - Great site that starts out with a colorful map of Wisconsin. Just click on your county and you will be directed to great sites all about your specific county. Have fun!
Wisconsin Travel Information - Find the hotspots of Wisconsin with many links to take you further.
