• J. I. Case Corporation - Jerome Increase Case started his company in 1842. This company with headquarters in the south-eastern city of Racine has been growing ever since.

• Harley-Davidson Company - This company history does not work well with Netscape Navigator but does ok with Internet Explorer.

• Kimberly-Clark Corporation - The land of Paul Bunyon must have trees and paper products in its history. Find out more about this company that makes paper products and much more.

• Kohl's Department Stores - The Kohl family started a small grocery store in Milwaukee that grew into a large chain of department stores.

• Ray-O-Vac Corporation - One of the leading battery makers in the world has headquarters in Wisconsin.

• Johnson Controls - A manufacturer of thermostats and heating control devices, this company also makes car batteries and interiors.

• Manpower Inc - This company started in Milwaukee in 1948 and now has offices in France, the United States and the United Kingdom.

• CNH International - This company is a combination of many familiar companies. Included are International Harvester, New Holland and Case farm equipment plus Styers and Clayes bicycle companies and Henry Ford's Fordson Tractor Company.

• Schneider National Inc. - Those big orange semi-trailer trucks you see on the highways are from this company.

• Kohler Company - Manufacturers of kitchen and bathroom fixtures plus engines and generators.

• Quad/Graphics Inc. - I was unable to link directly to the history page for this printing company. From this link click on 'About Quad' and then on 'Company History'.

• Rockwell Automation - Started in 1880 as a small hardware company, today Rockwell constructs equipment that is used around the world.

• S.C. Johnson and Son Inc. - Also known as Johnson's Wax, this site has a little bit of history, but not enought to make a report.

• ShopKo - This is a newer company that started in 1961. The site provides a brief history but again, not enough for a report.

• Banta Corporation - This is a printing company started in Menasha, Wisconsin.

• Briggs and Stratton Corp. - This Milwaukee manufacturing company is famous for small engines. Check your lawn mower or snow blower to see if it has a 'Briggs' engine on it.

• A.O. Smith Corp. - This is a very detailed description of the company from 1874 to the present.

• APW Ltd. - This Waukesha based company builds and supports computer products. It does not have a great deal of history because it was formed in 1997.

• ABC Supply Company - This company, started in 1982, is now the fifth largest private company in Wisconsin and about 150th nation-wide. It ships and sells building materials.

• Modine - This company began in 1916 by making radiators of Model T Fords.

• Wausau-Mosinee Paper Corp. - This company started making paper in 1899. At the time it was the second paper mill on the Wisconsin River. (Click on the word History in the frame on the left of the screen.)

• The Menasha Corporation - This company which specializes in packaging and materials handling started in 1849 as a pail making company.

• Green Bay Packaging - This company which was founded in 1933 makes cardboard packaging materials.

• The F. Dohmen Company - This company was started in 1858 by a German immigrant to Milwaukee. Today it is one of the largest distributors of pharmaceutical products in the world.

• Grede Foundries Inc. - This metal casting company started in Wauwatosa in 1920. Today it has plants around the country and the world.

• American Foods Group - Founded in 1985, this company supplies beef and pork products. It is a meat 'packer' from Green Bay.

• The Swiss Colony Inc. - In 1926 this company became the first mail-order cheese company in the United States.

• Sargento Foods - From Plymouth, this company sells cheese and cheese products around the world.
