Filamentality Posting Policy
The Knowledge Network Explorer (KNE) will host your Filamentality page for at least 12 months past the date it was created. If you don't log in once a year and cycle through the publishing process, even if you don't make any changes, it will become inactive and will be moved to our dead files folder.
We are unable to send out notices when your file is in danger of being removed so you will need to monitor it yourself.
If you have questions, you can use our KNE Feedback form to ask us questions about this policy or any other Filamentality questions that you have. Don't forget your email address so we can respond.
It's easy to extend the life of your files by periodically logging in. This changes the creation date. You can:
- Log back in to "Return to Existing Page" (requires username and password). If you have forgotten your username or password, you can email our Keeper of Lost Passwords. Any information you can send to expedite this process will help. For instance, if you know the URL of your site, if you think you might have used "Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Miss," or if you changed your email address since you created the site.
- Cycle through the formats depending on which one you made until you generate the URL. (For example if you made a Hotlist, select "Hotlist" from the Navigation Menu twice until you see the "Quick View" and your URL).
- After you "spin this thing" twice, you will see the screen that tells you your page is on the web, you have updated your creation date. The URL will remain the same.
- Relax for another year.
