Education World
Since 1996 Education World has been making the Internet easier for educators to use. The site contains lesson plans, content resources, and articles/advice on integrating technology into the curriculum.

BCPS Essential Curriculum
Massive web site put together by Baltimore City schools that provides Internet resources links and connections to all areas of the curriculum from K-12.

PBS Teacher Source
Companion site to PBS that features educational connections and resources on PBS series and special programs,

Scholastic
With rich educational content and classroom-tested online curriculum, Scholastic.com offers teachers structure in which to integrate internet-based content into their curriculum.

Enchanted Learning
Comprehensive K-6 web site that offers subject matter content and pictures for extended studies in science, geography and language arts. Excellent for second language learners.

WebQuest Page
Inquiry and project-based learning activities that integrate web resources.

Smithsonian
Education centered web site that features many extended activities and information on exhibits at the museim, as well ones created exclusively for the web site.

Brainpop
Short, intriguing animated films on a variety of concepts.

EduTopia
Web site for the George Lucas Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization that documents and disseminates stories about exemplary practices in K-12 public education.

Big6
Developed by Mike Eisenberg and Bob Berkowitz, the Big6 is the most widely-known and widely-used approach to teaching information and technology skills in the world.

The Staff Room for Ontario Teachers
The "mother of all rubric sites" Expansive selection of rubric examples for all subject matters. Print out rubrics or copy into word processor to edit to meet your needs.

Eisenhower National Clearinghouse
ENC's mission is to identify effective curriculum resources, create high-quality professional development materials, and disseminate useful information and products to improve K-12 mathematics and science teaching and learning.

NCTM Illuminations
The NCTM Illuminations Web site is designed to illuminate the new vision for school mathematics presented in NCTM's Principles and Standards for School Mathematics.

Science

Eric Weisstein's World of Science
Site contains budding encyclopedias of astronomy, scientific biography, chemistry, and physics. This resource has been assembled over more than a decade by internet encyclopedist Eric W. Weisstein with assistance from the internet community.

Froguts
Virtual frog dissection without the screams or clean up.

Explore Science
Nuclear physicist and educator Raman Pfaff created these interactive simulations to help students visualize physics and life science concepts. The Shockwave Plug-in is required, and the site can be easily downloaded for those with a slow Internet connection. The simulations should fit in with typical labs or demonstrations.

Social Studies

American Memory
American Memory is a gateway to rich primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more than seven million digital items from more than 100 historical collections.

National Geographic
This site offers many different well-produced activities for students that reflect many of the topics and stories addressed in the magazine.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum
May we never forget, this site reconstructs the history of the Holocaust through multiple media: the meaningful arrangement of objects as well as the presentation of documentary photographic and cinematographic materials.
