Adding Links

Adding links can make your Web page more interesting and powerful. You can link to a remote file, a local file, or a spot within your page.

Let's add a link to the animation factory:

Step

Action

Result

1 Type "Animation Factory" in the Favorite Websites section of your page.

2

Navigate to the Animation Factory. Copy the URL.

http://www.animfactory.com/ will be copied into your clipboard.

3

Select (hilight) Animation Factory and click the link button.

Paste the URL.

4 Save and browse your page.

"Animation Factory" should now link to the site.

You can also turn an image into a link. Click your fountain and then click the link button. Insert the URL, and you now have a graphic link!

5 To link to a local file, just use the "Choose File" button in the link dialog box or type in the file name. For now, make sure the file is in the same folder.
